Dr. Denise Thorpe was born in the Island of Jamaica West Indies. She has been set apart by the Lord for the ministry of deliverance. After being on a route to her own destiny which would have taken her straight to hell, Jesus' blood rescued her as she accepted His sacrifice for her sins. Now, she is determined to give Him all that she can be.
On a mission to fulfil worldly passions, Denise landed in the United States where she remembers that she was not seeking God. Her mind was far from Him. Being made to go to church on Sundays had ignited a desire to be around the people of God every now and then for just doing right. There was no real revelation of God then, but while she kept up with the custom of going to church she met the still small voice.
Accepting Christ Jesus as her Lord and Savior did not make her immuned to the the tricks of the devil. She has had her share of mistakes. Sharing with others really builds her strength. While others may see past mistakes as a means to keep the people of God back, she believes that certainly Satan has given assignments to demons against key persons that God will raise up for His glory. She gives credit to her first father in the Spirit Pastor Neville Wolliston, Hartford Connecticut, who saw in her what she could not have imagined. Today, Dr. Denise stares at a black and white photo of her, a deacon and her then pastor in the pool of the Hartford YMCA. She admits that whenever she needs to be reminded of what God has done in her she take flashbacks. Pastor Wolliston advised her not to take part in much activities that did not really glorify God. He was an awesome leader but Dr. Denise, still on her journey to what God had for her, relocated to Florida. In Florida she had the opportunity to know God through many dangers, toils and snares. This was really where she got her grooming for deliverance as she herself went from believing God for providing for her needs to healing her emotions and refining her to the point where she was made ready for the ministry of deliverance.
In Florida, she met among all the leaders that groomed her Bishop L. W. Freckleton who pushed her even further. He mentored her when it was time to go out and esthblish Revival Fire Deliverance Ministries Inc. In any given service one experiences the hand of God in a mighty way. The favorite line for R F D Ministries members is "you will never leave the way you came" Friday Night Fire, their signature service where you can experience the authentic ministry of Dr. Denise Thorpe is held @ 7:30pm every Friday night. She flies back home from any other venture for these services and will avoid taking any speaking engagements on a Friday night.
As a mother of two girls, Lakea and Gabrielle first, she gives special credit to her mother Hyacinth for keeping her on track. There is nothing like good support she says with her eyes in the ceiling. She knows that the hand of God has brought her very far. "I should not be here, I should not have made it this far in life. If the enemy had his way I would have been destroyed, but God is faithful". She concludes.
Her goal is to see a great awakening in the nation, a revival that will shake the world. Her prayer is that the fire in her will burn so that soul will be saved for God's glory. Dr. Denise Thorpe, Senior Pastor
